Fee lines
Costs on a Kakobuy order, line by line
No agent fee does not mean no fee lines. This page names every charge the help centre publishes, what moves it, and the date we read it. Freight route tactics are out of scope here; the lines themselves are not.
The published formula, and the two eight-yuan lines
Help id 63 promises a free agent service: total cost is the item, the international freight and the customs charges. Help id 74 writes the same arithmetic as commodity cost plus international freight plus packaging fee plus optional value-added services, where commodity cost already folds in the domestic leg from the seller to the warehouse. Both read 2026-10-10.
Two small lines deserve a close read. Help id 74 lists a packaging consumables fee of ¥8 per parcel; help id 63 lists a customs declaration cost, generally RMB 8.00 per parcel. The site names them separately and never says they are the same charge, so this page will not merge them either: read your own parcel quote for which of the two it carries.
One saver written into policy: items from the same seller settled in one purchase order pay the domestic delivery fee once (help id 75).

Top-up surcharges depend on the rail you pick
Wallet top-ups by PayPal carried a handling charge of 3.5% plus US$0.3 when we read help id 64 on 2026-10-10; PayPal top-ups support VISA, Mastercard, American Express and JCB and settle in USD. Older third-party pages still circulate a lower PayPal figure, so trust the number the top-up screen shows you at payment time, not a cached one.
Alipay and WeChat Pay list no handling charge, with the credit landing one to sixty minutes later. Wise transfers are documented as a route in help id 121. International cards have their own article (help id 105).
The habit that follows: pick the rail before you top up, because the surcharge is applied on the way into the wallet, not on the way out.

The display rate: twelve currencies, one settlement reality
The archived menu captured on 2026-05-27 listed twelve display currencies. Currency options can change; check the selector and checkout currency before paying. Listings are priced in CN¥, so a displayed dollar or zloty amount already reflects a conversion.
Conversion is where quiet cost lives. A third-party fee table measured the all-in markup over the mid-market exchange rate at about 8.5%% as of 2026-10-02. We did not reproduce that measurement, so treat it as a dated reading, not a constant: compare the checkout figure against a mid-market converter on the day you pay.
Card prices on this site stay in CN¥ for the same reason; a converted figure would be stale by the time you read it.

Storage is free to day 100, a fee line after it
Normal parcels store free for 100 days counted from the order status in storage, with a reminder email at day 90; abnormal parcels get 60 days counted from Signed for; expired goods are treated as abandoned and destroyed, and perishable shelf life, about one month, is not covered (help id 1, read 2026-10-10).
Past day 100 the line is called Extend Product Storage Period: 10 yuan per order number beginning with OG per 30 days, bought from the warehouse screen, with a 30-day cooling-off period after expiry (help id 120). The same article priced the extension at 20 yuan per 100 days in a mid-2026 copy, so the price has already changed once this year; re-read it before you lean on it.
What each status means for an undo sits on the cancellation ladder, not here.

Value-added lines are opt-in, and each has a price tag
The optional services carry exact prices in their own articles, all read 2026-10-10: priority purchase at 5 yuan per commodity order, processed within 4 hours of buyer working time (help id 115); personalised photographs at 2 yuan per piece within 24 hours (help id 114); pre-packing at ¥18 per run, with the packed weight reported back within 24 hours (help id 117). The three-photo parcel photo before shipping is free, but only if you tick it when submitting the parcel (help id 118). Inspection and consolidation are free by policy (help id 79).
Kako Insurance is bought at parcel submission; its delay cover pays 20% of the shipping fee once a parcel runs 30 or 40 days past shipment, route-dependent, and without insurance the operator declines responsibility for carrier loss or damage (help ids 123 and 113).
Freight itself is a moving number: quote your own parcel on the official freight estimator rather than trusting any printed table. For EU parcels, a flat 3 euro category-based customs line applies from July 1, 2026, folded into the shipping cost at submission (operator notice dated 2026-06-23); context sits with the dated notices.

Reading a quote before you pay it
Order of operations: price the item in CN¥, add the domestic leg unless your items share one seller order, quote the parcel on the estimator, then decide the optional lines one by one. Every number above carries its help id, so a changed article beats this page: the publication dates are the warranty here.
